Gather a reliable list of contacts and know your audience.
Use an intake form on your website to gather contacts who want to receive your emails. Weed out duplicates and organize your contacts into different lists based on their known interests, needs or specific offer that they would like to receive more information on. It’s important to customize your email lists to ensure that you are sending information to people who actually want to receive it.
Don't overcomplicate it.
Consider the message you’d like to send to your contact list. Keep it to the point, but informative enough to strike their curiosity. The goal here is to get your customer interested enough in your message or offer and clicking on your call to action linked to your website to get the full details. Remember, it’s important to insert links to your website throughout your e-blast content and include a clear call to action graphic towards the end of your message that clinches up your idea and gets your customer’s clicking finger ready!
Subject lines really do matter.
It’s key that the subject line of your email is concise, catchy and enticing. Customers will read the first 50 characters or so before deciding whether to click on your email or not.

Give it a test drive!
Always, always, always send a test email to yourself to make sure everything in your email is displaying correctly before sending it to your contact list. As with anything, first impressions matter and an e-blast is like a calling card for business. Keep your tone, styling and images consistent with your website.
Share your email or offer on social media.
Don’t forget to share a link to your email over your social media accounts. Social media is a great way to spread the news about your business, event and offers!
Analyze your results.
Is your email not producing the results you were hoping for? Maybe try sending your emails at a different time of the day (better yet, schedule them to be send automatically!). Or take a different approach with your subject line. Keep switching things up to find that groove and what works for you and your business.
